Denver Limo Prices Increase A Ride Town Car Remains The Same Due to Gas Prices July 15th, 2006 by admin

At prices at 2.99 to 2.89 per gallon of gas most limousine companies have raised the price of their limousine service. While A Ride Town Car remains the same. “It is our intention to provide our customers with the best price of Quality Limousine Service Available.” said A Ride Town Car Executive Mohamed Nur. These hard economic times have caused nationwide increases on everything from food to transportation. Bush in a report declares that he is concerned about the gas prices as he should be with his approval rating on a steady decline. Transportation companies like A Ride Town Car end up taking a large hit on profits due to the highest cost of fuel in US history. We have been active in seeking out alternative fuel saving techniques and complaining to various government agencies that could intervene in the free trade of fossil fuels and provide relief for the US. Being optimistic that our voice is heard and that soon the Bush Administration will have to intervene. A Ride Town Car is keeping its price at the same level and taking the profit hit in hopes of generating more business.

DIA LAUNCHES BUSINESS CENTER SECTIONON THE AIRPORT’S WEB SITE July 11th, 2006 by admin

DENVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

MEDIA UPDATE

July 10, 2006 @ 10:30 a.m.

DIA LAUNCHES BUSINESS CENTER SECTION
ON THE AIRPORT’S WEB SITE

Denver International Airport’s web site, www.flydenver.com, now offers the Business Center—a special section designed primarily as a resource for people who want to learn how they can do business at the airport.

This newly packaged section, with some new features, is also available to investors, students, reporters and others who need specific airport facts, policies or statistics. The Business Center is divided into four areas: Business Opportunities, Financials & Statistics, Community Matters, and DIA Information.

Eligibility information for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) or Small Business Enterprise (SBE) certifications can be found in Business Opportunities. Contractors can visit Business Opportunities for up-to-date information about Requests for Proposals (RFPs), bid openings, bid awards, project calendars and project forecasts. An interactive feature allows contractors to sign up to be on DIA’s project mailing list, and a direct link to the City of Denver Purchasing Department is provided.

Business Opportunities is also a source for airport concessions information, with guidelines, contact numbers, and posted concession RFPs (currently listed with the design and construction RFPs). In addition, companies that would like to provide ground transportation services can find forms and regulations in this section.

Financials & Statistics gives investors or researchers the most current financial reports, such as DIA’s 2005 Financial Report, official statements for revenue bond offerings, and rating agency reports. This section also has passenger and aircraft monthly traffic reports.

Information about DIA’s environmental management and noise management programs is located in the Community Matters section of the Business Center.

The fourth section of the Business Center, DIA Information, is divided into four subsections. In these subsections are information about airport management, information for airport job seekers, media relations Information, and an online repository of facts for researchers who need to learn about specific aspects of the airport. The Research Center, the last subsection within DIA Information, offers answers to frequently asked questions and describes the procedures for filing an open-records request with DIA. Here, too, are the rules and regulations for the management, operation and control of the airport.

The Business Center has several links to web sites of airport employers, such as the City of Denver, airlines, concessionaires, and service providers. Department of Aviation internships and DIA’s volunteer Ambassador Program are described, and contact numbers are listed.

The third subsection under DIA Information is News & Media. Although designed primarily for journalists, this new section can be useful for researchers. Current and archived press releases are posted and an image library provides digital photographs that can be downloaded. Also available are a printable DIA press kit and a media guide for reporters.

To access the Business Center, go to the home page at www.flydenver.com and click on Airport Business on the blue menu bar.
