A Advantage was the company involved in the fatal shooting of Darrent Williams. While Denver police are still investigating this crime it has become rather apparent that they are inadequate in there pursuit of the gangland killers. Seemingly they are treating the situation nonchalantly, as we have come to expect from the Denver police department. In most states this crime would have been blasted over the news and the Police Departments would be hot on the trail of the suspects with arrests being made within minutes of the crime. Is it laziness or lack of training? Will this be another JonBenet Ramsey style case with years passing by without any arrests and no clues? This truly angers this reporter as Darrent Williams is a superhero to me. Hopefully Mayor Hickenlooper will get out of his chair and actually put some pressure on the police department to apprehend and capture this criminal. It is probably too much to ask, as our police department has become a separatist organization, most of the police department operates above the law and don’t think they have to answer to anyone. They have become an organization that no longer protect and serve but have become an agency that is against the people that they are supposed to serve and protect. Most have less than adequate training both in the field and in the law, they tend to shoot first and cover-up later. This has become a huge problem and needs to seriously be resolved. I don’t blame this on the police officers they have a tough job to do. But on the Governor of Colorado and the Mayor of Denver who laterally point problem solving at each other. They are organizations working against each other instead of for the community at large. The police need regular training in law and practice. So they don’t shoot our pets or unarmed family members, as they have a record of doing in the past. They are sent out to uphold the law of which many have no solid knowledge of the law. Detectives and investigators have very little training and most are in the position after they have a problem, and are no longer allowed to be patrol officers. So will this be solved? Well if Darrent Williams was a police officer they would have already been on the chase. Since Darrent Williams is famous well maybe, but he is not a police officer and he is black so I don’t think so. We only harass famous people like Kobe Bryant, if it serves to advance the officers career. Hopefully there will be at least one that look’s beyond there own personal gain and actually work on the case. I don’t see it happing but one can only hope. Well that is the way I see it. May the god be the judge? Darrent Williams will be missed.
